I am currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Philosophy and a master's student at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at the University of Georgia. I teach in both the Department of Philosophy and the Institute for Women's Studies at the same university.

My research primarily concentrates on environmental ethics, water ethics, feminist philosophy, gender and sexuality in North Africa, postcolonial theory, the intersection of artificial intelligence and social justice, and the cultural politics of Islamic discourse and modernity in Egypt.

Previously, I held the position of assistant lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Cairo University. Additionally, I have served as a visiting scholar at Michigan State University and as a research fellow at the University of Bologna in Italy. I earned my MA in Applied Philosophy from Cairo University and completed a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies from the University of Georgia.

My Doctoral Dissertation title is "Islamic Feminism as a Neocolonial Project"

 أنا جهاد عبد العال، باحثة دكتوراه في الفلسفة وطالبة ماجستير في الذكاء الاصطناعي  في جامعة جورحيا. أيضا محاضرة في قسم الفلسفة ومعهد الدراسات النسوية بجامعة جورجيا. اهتماماتي البحثية تنطوي على الأخلاق البيئية، خاصة أخلاق المياه، والفلسفة النسوية، خاصة دراسات الجندر والجنسانية في دول شمال أفريقيا، بالإضافة إلى نظريات الما بعد استعمارية، الذكاء الاصطناعي و العدالة الاجتماعية، والسياسات الثقافية للخطاب الإسلامي والحداثة في مصر بشكل خاص. لقد كنت مدرسا مساعداً بقسم الفلسفة بجامعة القاهرة، بالإضافة إلى زميل دولي في قسم الفلسفة ومعهد الدراسات المتطورة بجامعة بولونيا بإيطاليا، أيضاً كنت باحثاً زائراً في قسم الفلسفة بجامعة ولاية مشيجان. لقد حصلت على درجة الماجستير في جامعة القاهرة في الفلسفة التطبيقية. لقد حصلت علي شهادة الدراسات العليا في الدراسات النسوية من جامعة جورجيا.
