I am a PhD student/ GTA in Philosophy and Women’s Studies, University of Georgia. My research interests are in environmental ethics; water ethics, feminist philosophy; gender and sexuality in the Middle East, postcolonial theories; social justice, and the cultural politics of Islamic discourse and modernity in Egypt. I was an assistant lecturer at Cairo University, Department of Philosophy, Egypt. Also, I was a visiting scholar at Michigan State University, and was a fellow at the University of Bologna, Italy. I obtained my MA degree from Cairo University in Applied Philosophy.

جهاد عبد العال باحثة دكتوراه ومحاضرة في قسم الفلسفة ومعهد الدراسات النسوية بجامعة جورجيا. اهتماماتي البحثية تنطوي على الأخلاق البيئية، خاصة أخلاق المياه، والفلسفة النسوية، خاصة دراسات الجندر والجنسانية في دول الشرق الأوسط، بالإضافة إلى نظريات الما بعد استعمارية، خاصة نظريات العدالة الاجتماعية والسياسات الثقافية للخطاب الإسلامي والحداثة في مصر بشكل خاص. لقد كنت مدرسا مساعداً بقسم الفلسفة بجامعة القاهرة، بالإضافة إلى زميل دولي في قسم الفلسفة ومعهد الدراسات المتطورة بجامعة بولونيا بإيطاليا، أيضاً كنت باحثاً زائراً في قسم الفلسفة بجامعة ولاية مشيجان. لقد حصلت على درجة الماجستير في جامعة القاهرة في الفلسفة التطبيقية.
