PhD student Mohammad Amin Amouhadi recently received a highly competitive research assistantship from the AI Institute. He was part of the course design team for a graduate course on the application of Machine Learning in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is also involved with the UGA Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources project PERSEUS (Promoting Economic Resilience and Sustainability of the Eastern US Forests). Amouhadi also recently gave a talk at the University of Cape Town on Aristotle's solution to the puzzles of time and commented on two papers at the Metaphysical Society of America: Vincent M. Colapietro's "'Here? 'We'? ('Are?')": Notes for a Metaphysics of Location" and Bernardo Andrade's "The Alibi of Metaphysics." PhD student Carlos Avila's Honors undergraduate thesis "Defining Creativity and its Role in Marx's Philosophy" was published this past Spring in the University of Central Florida's Showcase of Text, Archives, Research & Scholarship.
